About

An architect's eye.
A restorer's hand.

Karyna Pulcho began drawing as a child in Odesa, Ukraine, and later trained in Architecture and Urban Planning — a background that still shapes how she reads composition, proportion, and the way a design moves with the body. She built her tattoo career at one of Odesa's largest studios before relocating to the United States, where she now works between San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Across eight years in the industry, Karyna has worked as a versatile artist — from fine line to full realism — but has built her name around a specific calling: helping people reclaim their bodies. Her favorite work spans Japanese and neo-Japanese pieces, neo-traditional design, micro-realism, and above all, cover-ups and reconstructive tattooing over scars, burns, and tattoos that no longer serve their owner.

A tattoo can do more than decorate the body — it can help someone feel at home in their reflection again.

The Ink Revive Method

Developed in response to a gap in specialized training, the Ink Revive Method is Karyna's original framework for reconstructive tattooing — covering scars, burns, stretch marks, and other skin irregularities. It combines artistic technique with an understanding of skin behavior, scar maturity, and tissue characteristics, so results are both beautiful and responsible.

Since 2020, Karyna has mentored artists internationally through private training, seminars, and published materials — helping professionals work safely and confidently with complex skin conditions.

In Her Words

On the Work

Excerpts from published interviews with Karyna, on cover-ups, craft, and why she does this work.

"When I cover a scar or a failed tattoo, I watch someone's relationship with their own reflection change. That is the real reward of this work."

— iNKPPL Magazine, 2025

"Every decision has to account for skin condition, healing, and the client's expectations — artistic vision on its own is never enough in reconstructive work."

— inkTALK Education, 2026

"Choose your artist before you choose your tattoo. Look at their healed work, ask about hygiene and safety, and pick something with meaning — a tattoo is a long-term decision."

— inkTALK, 2026

What Clients Are Saying

"This is the largest tattoo I've ever gotten — a cover-up for my very first tattoo that no longer represents me. Karyna was very kind and thoughtful, taking the time to ask me about the design styles, colors, and meaning that interested me. She helped me feel comfortable and confident in her expertise. I am so happy Karyna is my new tattoo artist, and so pleased with the tattoo I'd been dreaming of for over a decade."

"Just took off the second skin layers — everything healed phenomenally and I'm getting so many compliments! Amazing work, really happy with how these turned out."

"Karyna, I'm in love with my new tattoo! Thank you so much for the amazing and beautiful dragon tattoo. I'm grateful I was able to get a tattoo by you."
